Alexandra Pohl
Alexandra founded Cotra to bring operator-led discipline to institutional multifamily investing. She serves as the firm’s Chief Executive Officer and chairs the Investment Committee.
Alexandra oversees the firm’s investment strategy, capital formation, and platform development. She has led the design of Cotra’s 21-fund architecture across the 2026 and 2028 vintages, its vertically integrated property and construction management platforms, and the firm’s governance and compliance framework as a registered investment adviser.
Under her leadership, Cotra has built an institutional operating model that spans asset-class strategies — workforce and value-add, core stabilized multifamily, ground-up development, student housing, luxury multifamily, mixed-income affordable, and multifamily mortgage credit — alongside a 2028 vintage of risk-return strategies from stabilized core through opportunistic and special situations, with total platform assets of $19.857 billion across 21 funds.
Alexandra is a frequent voice on institutional housing policy, fiduciary alignment, and the case for operator-led capital in an era of intermediated real estate. She holds fiduciary responsibility for all funds and reports to the firm’s Advisory Board.
